WOOD BLINDS

Wonder Woods makes 1", 2" and 3" slat blinds. All of our products are made from the finest basswood available. Unlike most mass-produced blinds our slat ends are rounded, which gives our blinds a more elegant, finished look.

Rather than relying on pre-finished wood, we start each order from scratch with unfinished wood. Every slat piece is hand selected, to insure uniform quality as the blind is built. The result is a window covering that has a longer life and superior performance. All valance and bottom rails are also crafted in our shop.

Our finish is second to none with 23 standard paints and stains. In addition, we can custom match most paints and stains.

Our unusual Designer Choices offer clearly distinct finishes. These finishes set Wonder Woods blinds and shutters apart from generic, mass-produced lines.

Arts and Crafts

Mid-Century

Our distinctive arts and crafts blind is fashioned with a beveled valance, and the slat corners are clipped for a beautiful, mission style look. An ideal window covering for any bungalow.

The Mid-Century Design recalls the fabulous swoops and boomerang shapes furniture from that era. Our blind features a hand finished valance and bottom rail with softly rounded edges. Choose one of our pale stains, or we can match original trim.

TRADITIONAL

1½" wide cotton tapes provide a traditional look. Tapes are available for both the 2" and 3" blinds. Colors include white*, duck white*, fawn* dark beige*, gray*, chocolate*, black*, light blue, pink, pastel green, canary, mulberry*, dark green*, red and royal blue. There is a 10% upcharge for cotton tape. (*Limited tape colors in 3" size marked with an asterisk)

DISTRESSED

This distinctive look makes for a warm comfortable appearance, complementing the room trim or furniture with a random pattern of distressed markings on the blind. Standard stain colors or stain to match to trim. Each blind is hand distressed.

SIMPLICITEE (routless)

Delivers a clean, simple look due to the elimination of rout holes. This blocks more light, and offers an increase in privacy. Sleek and elegant.

Available in 2" slat size. Call for availability in 3" slats.

VINTAGE

Beautifully casual, this finish is designed to make the blind appear old and full of character. Slats are scratched and slightly distressed and the edges lightly sanded by hand to create a soft, worn surface. The base coat will be paint with the appropriate glaze to accentuate the vintage look.

RUSTIC

Wonder Woods introduced this unique finish nearly a decade ago. Knots and mineral marks give these blinds their unusual look. A wonderful option for a den, mountain or desert home.

BLIND MOTORIZATION

Motorization is a terrific option for blinds covering hard to reach windows and locations where remote access is just more convenient : over a bathtub or other areas requiring privacy.

TILT ONLY

Wonder Woods has been motorizing 2" and 3" wood blinds since April, 2000. We utilize a powerful Techniku brand motor, which can handle a blind up to 75 square feet.

Motor and components will be installed at the time of manufacture. The small electronic eye is located just under the valance. The eye picks up the transmitter signal and tilts the blind. Tilt can operate in both directions and is controlled by a and held remote unit.

Up to 6 blinds can be controlled with one remote transmitter.

TILT AND LIFT

Motorized tilt and lift on 2" and 3" blinds are available on an individual quote basis. Controls can be installed separately, and are compatible with most home automation systems. We recommend hard wiring and the advice and participation of a reputable electrician. A color coordinated flat tape (3/32") is used instead of the standard lift cords.

Several blinds can be coupled - depending on size and weight - for ease of installation.
